Time for an update on the whole moving to Chicago deal (last mentioned here). Before I dive into detail, I have a question for you:
If you have the choice of putting some money into a fixer-upper house OR starting a new business idea (or two) that you’ve wanted to test out for a while, which would you do?
I think we will get to both options in time, but Ken and I have decided to put some money into two new business ideas instead of doing the fixer-upper + relocation — for now.
I can’t elaborate yet on the details of our new little ventures, but here’s what I can tell you about all the things happening in life right now:
- I am typing this post while on a flight to Portland, OR for the day (wooohoo — banked Southwest points FTW! Photo at the top of this post was taken along the way.) The goal is to close a deal for one essential piece for one of the new ventures. I’m nervous and excited, and I left plenty of details for Ken to track me down if the deal should go wrong and I end up missing or something like that. (Ken doesn’t like to fly, and I’ve got this just fine on my own, in case you were wondering.)
- Ken has worked out all the branding and every other major detail, and we have a partner that will take the lead on the project once we get it up and running. I’m working on all the “biz” stuff. I’d say…
