Very much how the lightning storms from our back window looked. Image source: http://hdwallpapers.cat/wallpaper/blue_lighting_storm_cool_night_nature_hd-wallpaper-1464682.jpg

Where I grew up, my parent’s house had a pretty big backyard and miles and miles of pasture land directly behind it. The view from our big, sliding glass back door was vast and particularly amazing at night when a lightning storm was off in the distance.

You could watch the scary wonder of nature while feeling safe inside. As the storms moved closer, you’d feel the thunder rumble while the lightning would illuminate the sky behind thick, dark clouds.

I remember distinctly watching one of the most incredible lightning storms ever while in the background playing a mix tape I’d just gotten from a boy I liked. Every time I hear “Kiss Me” by TinTin (aka Stephen Duffy), I remember feeling as electric inside as that storm looked.

Is there a song that makes you feel electric inside?

Ok. I’m not a cloud doodlist, it turns out, but I had to try for today’s post. ❤ #coffeewithjaimee
