I Tried (for almost a month) Switching to 100% iPad — Today, I Ordered a New MacBook Pro.

After all, I think approximately 95% of my work is writing. I have a 12.9" iPad that I’ve used mainly for easy-on-my-brain games like Outlanders and occasional writing but nothing fancy. It has a Magic Keyboard that I love and couldn’t function without, and an Apple Pencil that I use so often I have no idea where I left it.

I’ve spent most of the last year working from my couch, it’s comfortable, and I get a lot done there. I should note there’s also a Magic Mouse with the desktop setup that I could use with the iPad, but I sit weirdly (?) so using a mouse with the iPad is a no-go. By sitting weirdly, I mean that I usually sit leaning back, nestled into the couch with my feet up on the cushion close to me, and I hold the laptop between my knees…
