Here and There and Everywhere
I’ve been writing on and off since leaving my full-time job in 2013. When I started writing on Medium, the whole paywall/subscription thing didn’t exist — I moved around a bit but have been poking around here again recently. (Hello! Should I come back?)
I wrote for a while over on Tumblr; then, I ventured out into the “experiment with YouTube” space for a bit with unedited vlogging. I’ve turned my #coffeewithjaimee doodles into something of a daily journal over on Instagram, and I have tried writing on just about every platform that comes along for writers and bloggers. I usually abandon things after a month or two of use and try something else. I even did a #NaNoWriMo challenge, which was a lot of fun.
I like to try new things. I love to experiment. I live by “what happens if ___?”
The problem with this is I’ve got stuff everywhere. I didn’t realize the extent until trying to pull it all together under the singular umbrella of my website.
Is this the digital equivalent of being a pack-rat? Ooof.
I started “project wrangle-it-all” in September, and I’m still chipping away.
Tackling this effort started with reading through a mountain of old content and deciding what’s worth downloading and saving to cloud storage, what’s worth nesting under an existing but dormant…
