Another angle often pushed is the tax benefits of home ownership. What isn't ever offered up is the actual math showing if the tax benefit outweighs the interest you pay over time (or even on a year-by-year basis) on a mortgage. I'd love to see some real comparison numbers from pro-home-ownership folks.
