I started something called “Micro-Monday” for a team I’m working with. Each Monday in April, I shared one of these micro-lessons via Slack.

What is it:
It’s like dim-sum for learning!

Each month, there’s a theme.
Each Monday, a “Micro” bite (5 minutes or less) of learning, with optional practice, you can fold into your day/week/life.

Who is it for:
Anyone who’d like to continue or practice growing and learning, personally or professionally, but may be short on long stretches of time often required for training and learning material.
(These were written for a team that makes mobile games, but feel welcome to modify to meet your needs.)

Why:
The L&D team I’m working with would like to offer learning opportunities of all shapes and sizes. Sometimes, it’s challenging for folks to find an hour or more for interpersonal skills development.

This option gives you a nice morsel to plant learning seeds and practices that can make us all stronger in human interaction!

Theme: ACTIVE LISTENING

Insight:

Active listening requires full presence, eliminating distractions to give the speaker your undivided attention.
